I am just curious about Apple installing more RAM in a mini. The RAM section on apple.com doesn't list the mini. Also, if i were to buy more RAM for my mini, could i take it in to an Apple store and have them install it for me?

The new intel mac mini is not supposed to be user-upgradable because apple has everything packed up so tight in there now but that hasn't stopped many people from opening it up anyways. I, for one, upgraded my mac mini myself to 2gb of ram and didn't find it too difficult. If you dont feel very tech savvy then i would go ahead and take it to a apple specialist and have them install the ram for you. If you are going to install it yourself there are many DIY videos out on the web that can really help first timers.

Cheers,

Danny

If i take it to an apple specialist, would that void the warranty on the mini?
Or would i just have all of the mini except the RAM covered by Apple, and have the RAM covered by the manufacturer?
