So I'm running teamviewer on my Mac mini running hdmi to the tv. When I switch inputs to watch tv I can no longer remote in. It will run but its just a blank screen on the app. I'm sure once I switch inputs the mini is no longer getting a signal but any ideas around this? PITA

Have you tried Apples built in Screen Share? I do it all the time to my Mini and Mac Pro even when the monitors are turned off with no issues.

I haven't but the reason I even want to remote in is to play away from home.

Move your cursor around and it will refresh. Totally normal if not monitor is active. Or you can fabricate a jumper/dongle, search google, to make the mini think a monitor is attached.

Yeah I've moved it around and still no go

Apparently a teamviewer issue. Switched to splashtop and all is well.
