Hello,

I'm selling a Mac Mini and was wondering if someone could give me a rough estimate as to its worth? I will be selling it through a local newspaper advertisement, which is a medium I've successfully used before.

Original price with 3 year Best Buy warranty, 512 MB to 1 GB RAM upgrade, and taxes: $1,240.82 Canadian
Computer: Mac Mini
Processor: 1.42 GHz PowerPC G4
RAM: 1 GB (upgraded from 512 MB)
VRAM: 32 MB
HD Capacity: 80 GB

Great condition (no abrasions, scratches, damage, etc.); has all original cables, manuals, and software discs; very clean.

I will be selling it as a package with a 17" V7 LCD display and a Logitech wireless keyboard and Logitech wireless mouse. The Mac Mini still has a little over a year of all-repairs-no-questions-asked (trust me, they really do not ask questions) warranty from Best Buy.

Just a question: Should I do a fresh install of OS X Tiger, do all software updates, and then sell it, or should I do that and install my iWork disc as an added bonus?

Thank you SO MUCH for any estimates I can get (in CAD or USD, whichever is easiest for you).

-Bobby

i would suggest that your best bet would be to look on ebay for what a similar class of machine is going for, and make some estimates on what your accessories combo might be worth these days.

you are essentially asking others to do that homework for you ;-)

good luck with the sale. ebay will give you a good idea what people are willing to pay for something similar... suggest you start there...

where are you located? as I am in the market for just such a computer!
I am in between Niagara falls and Toronto Ontario...

Sure...

I'm currently selling the whole package deal for $980.00 CAD, but if you can make me a good offer?

My little brother just bought the same config Mini for $300 US. Sans keyboard, mouse and monitor though.
Based on that I'd guess $450-500 depending on the going rate for the monitor.
Maybe a bit more with the warranty.

I've been looking for a 'bare bones' G4 mini so that I can retire an old 8500. I'd say that $300 is a pretty good "buyer's" price - was this eBay, or somewhere else/better?

Local Craigslist ... pickup, no shipping.
Yea it was a good deal, but I've seen them come up from time to time. Usually have to pounce to get them.
