Okay i want to get a mac mini i have been looking at the apple page and i so want to click buy now but i just want to make sure its worth it (i will get the base one and get the 4Gigs put in that will cost me 1300-ish AUD)

Okay so has any one got the new mac mini and what do you think of it pros/cons?

Well brother what are you using the machine for? If you are looking for a basic desktop that can surf the web do iTunes and iMovie without any issues, then you have your desktop. If you are looking at something to play all of the coolest games and do some 3D video rendering you are probably in the wrong place.

Well what i want to do with it is programing (php, html, css etc) and running a localhost (apache, php, mysql) also playing music, movies and some photoshop stuff also would want to bootcamp windows (vista as i have the dvd for that)

I've played with mine for 2 days baddj and there really isn't much to say. And that's a good thing. It's the full Mac experience. It's quiet, unobtrusive, and things just work. I have a Vista quadcore PC with a GeForce GTX280 for games, but I still went ahead and bought the mini for everything else (like browsing, email, multimedia and general office use). The speed is fine, but if you ask me PCs that don't qualify for general use simply aren't made anymore.

I haven't tried the stuff you intend to use it for, because I have an ESX server with several Linux instances for that. But the mini could run all that in the background and you probably wouldn't even notice, unless your mysql databases are up to GB sizes.
