I have heard a few different things on this subject about Mac Mini 2.0 duo core processor and 4GB of ram running Final Cut Studio 2. Right now I will be using a MacBook Pro for the main part of video editing and such but would like to have the program on my Mac Mini at home (which right now is only the 1.42 GHz one which I am sure wont run FCS2). Reason I'd like it at home is because I can't always use the MacBook Pro when the other guy I work with uses it for the same project and buying a second MacBook Pro just wont happen right now.
Any suggestions or info on this? The guy at Apple store said that it will run but VERY slow and some programs wont run very well.
Thanks a lot in advance!

Get a high end iMac if you want any kind of performance in video editing software.

I am not saying that your wrong but I am not a big fan of the iMac. I do not like the fact that the monitor is part of the actual computer in case of monitor failure or anything else. I just do not trust it and think it's a bit over rated if that makes any sense... I have used the iMac and it's nice but just not something I'd spend my money on. Like I said we have a MacBook Pro but just want a secondary at home instead of purchasing another MacBook Pro.

Monitors are the least likely component to fail. Also, the iMacs can use external displays, so worst comes to worst you can use another display.

Finally, AppleCare is your friend ;)
