I just bought a new mac mini i3 last night. I have it hooked up to a 32 inch samsung LED tv. Everything is ok until the screen saver tries to come on and then the tv reads 'no signal' and the mac requires a button press for the screen to reactivate. Ive tried everything from changing the input name on the tv to pc and making sure power saving is switched off. Starting to think there isnt much I can do but I thought id ask the smart folks here and see if anyone else has had a similar issue.

That is very normal behaviour. Only your TV does not work correctly. It should not show "no signal", it should turn off. Maybe you can set that up somewhere.
If you want old-school: turn of the normal screen saver in the control panel "energy" and turn the fancy one on in the "desktop and screensaver" panel. But that is not real screensaving in the sense that it saves on your electricity bill and backlight hours.

You always need to press a button or move the mouse to turn it off, in both options.
