2011 Mac mini server had cache speeds ( both l1 and l3) double the midrange model. Anyone know if this is still true? I'm looking for a new Mac for for logic and ableton and don't feel like waiting till next year for possible Mac Pro.

Thanks in advance

Well, the cache *SPEEDS* were always the same, it was the cache amount that was double. It is still true that the quad-core chips have double the cache of the dual-core chips, but now you can get the quad-core chip in the "midrange" model, you don't have to go for the "server" model.
