Mac mini SSD and low rates of reading and writing...

I am Brazilian and I registered on this forum because I found a great collection of information on apple products, I am very impressed with the amount of information.

I recently bought a Mac Mini (Core i5 4gb 500gb), and quickly made an upgrade to add an SSD and 120GB Corsair FORCE GT 16GB Corsair 1600Mhz MEMORY MAC, only found very slow rate of writing Mac OS X Lion / Maverics only written 150mbs and 410mbs reading this HD I used on my old computer and did 530mbs write 550mbs read and the atto benchmark, installed boot camp with windows 8 on my mac mini and downloaded the atto benchmark again and exceeded 500mbs reading and writing.

This low rate of reading and writing is the native Mac OS X??? has no way to improve these rates???

See my benchmarks, both made the mac mini, this software with windows 8 and atto benchmark was with bootcamp on ...
I would like to analyze and tell me if it's all right.

they do seem a bit slow almost like you are set at sata II not sata III. on this mini in the screen shot the blue underlines the speed 6 is max but it is on 3. see if your disk reads;

link speed : 6 Gigabit
negotiated link speed: 3 Gigabit

Might try trim enabler on the mac side, and see if it helps.

Hello friends, I am now at work, I can not take a screenshot ... I made the purchase of Double Data to connect the MAC MINI however it does not come then I removed the mechanical hard drive and installed the SSD ... Somebody tell if all the 2 SATA ports are SATA III mac mini??? It may be that ...

I am not sure but I will look at the corsair forum . Sometimes a ssd does not like some macs. I will post to see if people are complaining about your ssd.

found this not exact match but maybe corsair and macs are not that friendly to each other.

A while back ocz and macs had a lot of issues.

The corsair GT is a sand force 2200 series. Sand force drives do not benchwell with black magic because it tests incompressible data which is how the sand force drives score such high marks in MOST benchmarks. I have the same drive and those numbers look about right in black magic. Try a more comprehensive hard drive test bench and I bet you will see your 500+ MB /s

I have a late 2012 mini i5 also. I went to 8Gb ram and added an intel 120Gb 330 series SSD and made my own fusion drive using the data doubler and instructions from OWC. I haven't tried any other programs but I get similar results with the black magic software, a little lower than the OP's results. I'm not that bothered as it's an everyday machine for family use (internet, email, nothing too taxing on the system) and it runs fine, faster than it did out of the box so I'm happy with that. Boot time greatly reduced, programs open faster and run smoother, no more beach balls.
Think I might try some of the other benchmark programs, just out of curiosity, but for now the mini works quite well.

I did not know this information that the test is incompatible with some brands of SSD, you could tell me some test I can confirm that it is all right with my SSD connected to the mac mini???

Test your ssd there and show us the results ...
