Mac Mini Streaming Question

I have a 2007 mac mini that is hooked up to my tv to stream movies wirelessly. It is wireless G and can not be made to N. It has 1 gig of memory. I am experiencing some lag. Will upgrading the ram help with the lag or is it more because of the speed of the wireless. I don't want to spend the money to upgrade the ram unless it will help with the lag.
