mac mini summer 2k11 model firmware wipe

I have the midrange 2k11 mini and need to re-install my firmware

how is this done while the newest firmware is present... I'm having hardware control issues, blew the power in my second hard drive's power control circuit...

my mini is opened and upside-down for heat...

basically im having some sortof logic issue I cant identify, need to start by wiping firmware from what can tell... =\
