C'mon Apple, all you have to do is put a new processor in it. How hard is that?
I can only echo the sentiment you guys are expressing in this thread.
I have a 2012 Mac Mini. It works great but I would like something with an updated CPU and graphics (moreso the graphics).
Just can't understand how it can be so difficult for Apple to make even a minor update like that.
Sheesh...

In my case, it serves as ... home serverI wonder what utility the model still serves today
oh they didn't forget, they seem to actively loath Mac users at this point.
No updates
No information
Broken promises on the rare occasions they do speak about Macs
Empty pipeline when it concerns Macs
Promoting iPad as a Mac replacement
Etc...
Many of us who now have real computers on our desks feel that point has already passed. Three, four years without a single major update, lots of product loss, and key personnel disappearances is more than long enough to suggest deep, deep trouble. Things weren't even this bad in the late 90's.put some effort into it before the buildup ruptures the companies reputation.![]()

Yes, I know they're raking in the bucks, but cell phones are becoming a mature market too. It appears Apple has made little effort to figure out how to handle that, beyond sticking moreadspurchase options into iTunes.

Damn that's cheap, if only we could get macOS to run properly I'd go for it!Check it out folks, it is almost here. And Optane ready toohttp://www.simplynuc.com/product/nuc7i7bnh-full-system/

Except that I have to use a different App to format USB sticks vs regular HD's; and not that Apple has any similar faux pas.Win 10 is surprisingly good.
I installed Win 10 on my kids' iMac for games that don't run on macOS, but my kids still rarely use it because they hate it. I honestly don't know what is so surprisingly good about it.Win 10 is surprisingly good.
Many things are good about it. Speed. Stable. An actual modern UI/UX.I installed Win 10 on my kids' iMac for games that don't run on macOS, but my kids still rarely use it because they hate it. I honestly don't know what is so surprisingly good about it.

Registry is still there, and as long as that thing exists, Windows won't be nearly as stable and good like *nix systems.
