Mac Mini trouble

Just bought a Mini, couple problems

1. I downloaded Firefox, but it seemed to install to the desktop as something that could be ejected (??) so i clicked on it, then the firefox logo, that opens up firefox, but it just feels weird.

2. Using an old mouse, not apple, and worked fine for an hour, now both buttons seem to be right clicking. how to fix?

Did you drag the icon out in /Applications? If it's already in your Dock it sounds like it's pointing to the disk image that FireFox came in.

click and hold the firefox logo and drag it into your dock.
this way you will be able to open it from the dock.
the ejectable thing is called a disk image.
it operates a little like a virtual drive.
you should be able to set the mouse preferences in the
blue apple logo (top left corner)
system preferences
keyboard and mouse
mouse


make the changes there

i set the preference to left button, but its still doing it. It worked fine the first hour, maybe a restart is necessary?

No clue why it's doing that. Have you unplugged or restarted? What kind of mouse is it? Brand, model, etc...

No clue why it's doing that. I use Dell mice on my minis at work all the time since they're so plentiful.

I use the Apple mouse but have also used my HP mouse with no problems.....
