I have had my beloved M1 Mac Mini since the spring of 2022. Rugged, dependable workhorse.

I recently updated to MacOS Sonoma 14.1 from MacOS Ventura 13.

I will discover in each morning, since the update, that the M1 Mini has awakened from sleep without anyone doing anything. I happened to be up and in my office unusually early this morning and saw it happen.

The M1 Mini did not crash. It did not reboot. I just wakes up and stays awake for no reason.

How do I correct this?

"How do I correct this?"

You asked, so I'll give you a solution that is 100% guaranteed to work.

Get a surge suppressor, if you don't already use one.
Plug the Mini (and peripherals) into it.
When you're done with the Mini for the night, shut it down.
Then, reach down and TURN OFF the surge suppressor, as well.

Do this, and you will NEVER be bothered by the Mini "waking up" again. Never.

This is not intended to be a facetious reply.
It's how I've connected and run my personal desktop computers (Apple //c before the Mac) since 1986.
Works for me.

Hmmm... alternate thought.
At night, just "reach forward" and TURN OFF the display (only).
Then, the Mini can wake/sleep as much as it wants, and you'll never notice.
