Hi all -

Long time reader, first time poster. I am running 2 Mac mini Servers - 1 as a web server and 1 as a database server. The webserver mini keeps randomly re-booting. Memory tests have not shown any problems, and the hardware guys at our colo are going to do some further tests on it tomorrow. But I figured I'd stop in here and see if you guys see anything that jumps out at you from the Problem Report.

If you need any other information to help diagnose the problem, just let me know.

Thanks for any help!

I see you have upgraded to 8 GB RAM. Was this an aftermarket upgrade?

Also, are you getting a Panic Kernel Error?

TS3742_01_KP-001-en.jpg

I had the same error with some crucial memory. I did a mem test using Rember. Tested each stick individually and found the bad one. I RMAed the stick back to crucial and received a replacement. I haven't had any problems since.

Sadly I concur

Just dealt with the same issue here with my PB 1.5, for about the last 2 weeks I have had random lock-ups and the occasional kernel panics. Finally got fed up with it tonight, yanked both sticks and found the bad one. Sucks to be back down to a gig tell I can afford a replacement, but then again? A pretty inexpensive fix.

If it is not the RAM (overwritten i.e. invalid frame-pointers are either the result of bad compilers (very rare), a software problem or a hardware problem), then i think it can be dust or bad connections (sweat on the RAM modules). I use one-way gloves, if i change hardware components.
