My Mac Mini airport wifi goes really slow compared to a wired connection. Anyone have any ideas? It goes super fast on my Toshiba or HP laptop. I have a D Link Wireless G router. I called Apple and they said its most likely because I have a 2.4ghz router in my house that's interfering with the signal. Would it really make that much of a difference, or is there something else I can try?

Do you have any friends with a different router that you can test to see if that is the issue? Other than that I'm not sure what to tell you.

When I was in college my MBP was PAINFULLY slow over the school's wireless network. I'm talking slower than a 14.4 modem...

I tried to talk to the IT people, but they didn't have much of an answer for me since I was on a Mac. We had a mac user group there and the only ideas from there was that the cisco wireless that they used didn't communicate well with my wireless card. Never did figure out why it was like that. The only way I could use it was to plug in, so I had to keep a short ethernet cable with me wherever I went.
