How does the mac mini handle 2 1080p displays? Is it bottle-necked by the 256 mb video card (6630m version)? I know it depends on the workload, but I was wondering if anyone had this setup and had some overall impressions.
Two 1080p displays for any of the 2011 Mac mini line up is not a problem. The limitation comes with the third display which is only supported by the mid-range model with AMD 6630M graphics.
The answer? Definitely NO! Two 1080p-Displays are about 4.2 million pixels, two Thunderbolt Displays have 7.3 million pixels and neither is a problem for the new mini. For comparison: You need about 55 MB VRAM to drive a single 1080p-monitor without games or GPU intense applications, so 256MB should be fine for quite some time.
