Hi,

I just picked up a Mac Mini C2D 1.83 and I'm using a dvi to hdmi adaptor going into a Sharp Aquos 1080p 52" LCD. When I hook my MacBook Pro up using the same adaptor and cable, it instantly goes to 1080p. The option I have on the mini for 1920 X 1080 is interlaced.

Running 10.5.2 with the graphic update, no help.

Any advice?

Tony

are you using a hdmi dvi dongle?

I had the same issue, I bought a DVI to Hdmi 1.3 cable and it all went away, must be an interface problem

Yeah, I am. But it's the same one I use when I connect my macbook pro 17" to the LCD and it immediately goes to the correct resolution. So I didn't think it was the cable?

Will the XtremeHD HDMI to DVI cable work or could you provide some details on brand, etc.

your macbook probably isnt using the same internals or video chip as the mini, try it they cost like 10 bucks of ebay.
