Mac Mini wont mount firewire drives but sees them in system profile

Hi,
I got a one year old mac mini with all updates.

I connect 2 Iomega external disks and in the system profile I see them under the firewire tab.
I tried them on my macbook and it found them right away.
But on the mac mini they dont get mounted or it is like it is not proberly finding them
What can be the problem?
They work fine on USB.

An SMC reset might help: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1543 .

Do you see them in Disk Utility? If you do, select them and click Mount at the top of the window.
