Mac MINI, Won't read any CD's,DVD's and eats them

Hello All,

I have a Mac Mini, 60GB 512RAM running Mac OS 10.4 and have a HUGE PROBLEM!

Everything was working fine, until I sold my MAC MINI on eBay and bang! it broke.

When ever I put CD'S in it even if it's the mac restore disks it spins around you can hear that but it never comes up on the desktop of the mac mini, this means I cant eject them, so I have taken it apart and pulled it out, however I now have the problem of I can't reformat the mac mini.

Replace the drive with a pioneer dvr-k05, i believe its apple supported too.

But does this mean my drive is really broke? Because the disk does spin around inside it.

Did you ever take apart the computer? It's possible you mis-seated the drive.
