Hi all,

I successfully upgraded my MacBook to Lion so thought I would go ahead and do it on my MacMini. The installation seemed to go ok, and at the end said it had installed successfully and that it needed to restart.

Upon restart the screen on my TV just stayed blue, I didn't even get the Grey OSX loading screen. I left it for a while and instead of the TV saying 'no signal' it just says 'unsupported'.

I have tried to restart the machine multiple times, each time the fan starts up and i hear the 'chime' sound, however the video never comes on the TV, no grey loading screen, no nothing.

No problem i thought, i'll just Screenshare into the MacMini and check the video settings, only problem is, screenshare wont connect. Ok, lets try SSH'ing into the box and and restarting into safe mode... connection refused.

It seems like the MacMini is 'somewhat' turned on but is completely unresponsive, i can ping the IP address and get a reply, but any other attempt at accessing it or getting any sort of video to display on the TV is futile.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to work out what is going on and how I can fix it?

Thanks

It sounds a lot like your TV is not supported in the Lion OS. I suggest you try a different monitor on the Mini because it is probably working correctly.

Found people with the same issue over at ttps://discussions.apple.com/thread/3196192 still no real permanent solution though.

I have been able start my mini up by putting in the original OSX installation disk that came with my mini. But I need a solution to the problem
