Mac Mini...WTF?

The Mac Mini is STILL a 1.5ghz Solo and 1.66 Duo?!?! WTF?!! I really hope they get updated soon b/c i'm on the vurge of buying the Mac Mini and the 1.5 SOLO is killing me!!!

Whats the chance of Apple bumping it up in september when they release "suposedly" upgrade both books up to Core2 Duo.....and if the MacBook (not pro) gets a Core "2" Duo shouldn't the Mac Mini too?

I'm geting really close now b/c I already bought an LCD for it....it was $99 at CompUSA and my aunt paid half so I got an LCD for 50!!!!!!!

That is the sweet spot the solo because its cheaper and you can drop in a core 2 duo chip right, or is it a core duo chip. Either way its upgradable to a faster chip. If I were getting a mini I would get the base one then get the chip on newegg and upgrade it. Duo 1.66 is weeeeeeeeek.

I must say that coming from my old g3 iMac, I have been totally stoked to have my mini. $500 bucks for a new apple computer used to be a fairytale! Sure there are alot of faster macs out there than mine, but I'm just a soul surfer anyhow, not really trying to get any work done on the thing - just chillin.

Get the Core Solo, and upgrade the chip with Core 2 Duo.

The processor is socketed.
