I have a dinosaur of a pc...this old and bulky tower and a old hp pavilion monitor....I was curious of anyone would know if the mac mini was compatible with it?

It will work with the monitor, however, I suggest you upgrade to fully appreciate the graphics in Tiger.

I have a 1998 Viewsonic 21" P810 Professional Series CRT that completely schools the heck outta any LCD under $1500...

My Mac Mini has a 19" widescreen Viewsonic LCD attached and it is excellent. (The Mini is a back-up machine)

My main computer is a G5 with a 23" ACD. This is used for professional image editing and it is more than capable.

Lots of new LCD monitors are every bit as usable for Image manipulation and high quality graphic work as older CRT's and don't take up huge amounts of room.

Dave :)
