Hello, im a new mac user! got my iBook yesterday :D Ive been searching for a monitoring program (not MenuMeters) that looks sort of like a vertical taskbar with information about cpu usage, network traffic, mem usage, logged on users and such... I just cant find it. i had one of them on RedHat Linux a few years ago, but i cant remember its name and i think it does no work on mac. If anyone knows what Im talking about, please let me know where to get this program.
Thanks.

OS X has something like that built in. Go to your applications folder and open the utilities folder. From there you should find an application program called Activity Monitor. From there you can see how RAM is being used, CPU usage, and other things like that.

Yep, got that enabled, thanks man. But Im trying to find something a little more different, Ive seen that program (the one im looking for) over and over again on people's desktop screenshots on different websites...

MAC Monitoring

Kalsoki, Ive been interested in the same software and have found a few that may interest you. I'm not sure if posting a web site is cool or not and if so then slap my hand and I won't do it again, but try <Spectorsoft.com> for a product called "eBlaster", or go to <bb4.com> and see what they have. I laso visited this site> http://www.macobserver.com/news/99/august/990818/intermapper211.html
and thought that would work also.

Good Luck, Sparky
