Hi All, I'm very new to the world of all things Apple and so far I'm delighted with my machine. However, being used to Visual Basic in things like Excel I'm obviously going to have to learn AppleScript (or whatever is used on Macs) in order to automate my spreadsheets in Numbers. My question to you all is please could you recommend some books or resources that will take me right through the basics of Apple Script or the Visual Basic equivalent for Macs. I've looked on line and there is so much out there such as Xcode/Cocoa/JavaScript that I'm totally confused and any help in getting started would be very helpful and gratefully received. Thank you all so much for your help.

Microsoft has brought VBA support back to Excel for the Mac Office 2011 suite. Don't know about Office 365, you would have to check on that about VBA support. If you want to use Numbers I suggest you take a look at the link to get you started.

Hi, thanks for the information and such a quick response!:D

I'll look into the links and investigate the Office 2011 software.

Again, many thanks.
