Dear all,
I would like to raise a question about my Mac Office problem in Excel-Word.
I have usually drawn my graphs and figures in excel by using black and white shades and threads to show different columns and icons in the graph. Then copied it in my word documents in PC.

When I do the same thing in my MacBook which runs Mac Office 2004, the threads and shapes of the columns (not coloured but black-white threads) can not be seen properly in my word document. Besides, no matter how it looks on the screen, the threads all look like different shades of gray colour when I print the word document.

Can anyone help me out on this? I appreciate your help a lot as I have to write my thesis on my MacBook.
best,
aysun

You can always use screenshots and import the images into Word.

My favourite form of graphing in excel is always as a separate sheet. Doing it like this would give you reasonable quality screenshots too.

I personally always use the paste special -> paste as picture option on both Windows and MacOS because it makes the chart appear exactly as it does in all respects in Word or PPT as it was in Excel. Otherwise, you're always subject to issues such as Word / PPT reformatting the fonts, etc, as you resize the image. If you use the paste as picture option, the image scales exactly (but it is not a bitmap, so there is no problem with pixelation as you see if you use a screenshot).

If that is not acceptable, please post a screenshot giving an example of what you mean.
