Mac Office 2016 Security question

Hi,

With all the talk of privacy lately, its got me thinking about Office (2016). Are my documents secure on my Mac, or does MicroSoft have a peek?

If you are using it in standalone mode, and you keep all your files locally, then no. If you are in a corporate O365 environment, then their security team might have a CASB and other tools to track user behaviour. You will have no expectation of privacy.
