.mac on windows mail application

i cant get my .mac to work with windows mail
according to the mail app the incoming server is mail.mac.com
and outgoing is smtp.mac.com:myemail


when i added the outgoing to the outgoing server
it says it isnt valid and would i like to use it anyways so i hit yes
when i click inbox i get nothing


does anyone have any experience with this

i havent personally had experience with this myself but testing it out on Thunderbird here and there seemed to wrok fine with the way apple had it on their support doc, the information is pretty bland but it takes some messing around with to get it to pick up

I don't think that Windows recognises that smtp address. Try it without the :myemail part as the ":" represents a port number which should either be 25 or 587. I could be wrong though.
