I would just install it and see if it makes it better. The worst case you end up reformatting and taking the machine back cause your not happy with the UI lag. I am strongly considering do this my self

Thank you for saving me.

I was geared up to tackle that today on my day off.

I suspect from your post that apple knows something is funky and they are working deep down to figure it out.

I hope they figure it out before my return window closes on jan 8th.

So clearly there is something going on with the software that is broken.

Its doesn't screw up the battery. They just removed the battery percentage left number. More than likely, it will return in the final release. No need to go scaring people about something as minor as a temporary battery display issue with beta software.

Time remaining isn't shown for me, but battery percentage is still there.

So they pulled the time remaining cause it is well useless on the new machines it is all over the place and highly inaccurate. I just watching mine swing from 5.5 hours back up to over 8. I have not seriously changed my load avg.

So like I said I hope the new product team they form for every new new launch is getting paid serious OT to mend the glitches that are all over these machines.

I am seeing glitch all over the .1 with the new MacBook Pro 15.

Not just the graphics tearing that is now front page news.

I have stuttering and lagging of the UI.

I have failures to stay connected to network resources .

I chalk most of all of this up to the fact that it is a .1 release and .1 is never the most stable. .4 is where the polish comes out

But wait then it time to get right back to .0

Apple please stop with major .0 releases until you get better perfect building on what you have already.

I frankly will not move my Mac mini server off el cap stable release.

there's some news online about problems with third-party apps and the new mbp's. still, if you're having these issues, it may be useful to update to the latest beta; i see you're 'strongly considering' doing it... either way, good luck, am sure we'll see a final 10.2.2 soon...

I dont have ui lag or stuttering on mine, but i did clean install, smc reset and pram reset, as the 3 first things when i got mine.

Sometimes need to reconnect to wifi after sleep though which never happened on my 2012.

Hope someone invents a bug free programming language soon...
