historically, has there ever been an apple desktop/notebook computer released a few days/weeks before an OS update?

would it be safe to assume that 10.5.3 will be released before the new iMac and that 10.5.3 would be preloaded onto the new machines?

I really hope 10.5.3 comes out ASAP. I haven't been able to connect to the Windows network printers at work and it's driving me crazy. I've read that it will be a fix in the next update.

As for new iMacs, it's beginning to seem like all those people who are holding out for the new stuff are waiting in vain. The timeline has been completely destroyed, so who knows?

Unless you're suggesting that Apple will discontinue iMacs altogether, the waiting is not in vain, just longer than one might hope. Patience my boy, for this too shall pass. ;)

Personally, I'm in no rush, because the longer it takes, the longer I still have the latest and greatest. :p
