I'll get to the point. Is there anyway to get Mac OS 9.0 out of a Mac OS 9.2.2 Full Install CD? (note: this is the CD that ships with Mac OS X 10.1.3 & the Software Recovery disks) Anyway, Whould it help to get the Mac OS 9.0 ROM? Any suggestions open. Please no dumb questions or comments. Many Thxs- Ariffam

Well, here is a dumb question, Why?

Sorry, i don't think that this can be done. It would seem odd for apple to put the exta work in to allow this to happen when 99.99% of the time people would rather have updates.

Why?

Mac OS 9.2.2 is the latest version of Mac OS 9

OR are you trying to extract a bootable copy of OS 9.x from a OS X + classic install?

Some of the computers did ship with a bootable versions of OS 9 on the recovery disk, others with just classic.

However if you really have some reason to install OS 9.0 instead of the OS 9.2.2 you have -- you probably need to find an old OS 9.0 CD.
