This is a complex setup, so bear with me. I have two routers in my house. One is set as an AP for a hidden 802.11b network with WEP encryption for use with OS 9 and my G4's AirPort. That setup has worked fine for me up until recently when I noticed Classilla stopped loading pages as quickly as it normally does. It got to the point where it will rarely load pages. Upon using WhatRoute to ping the main router, it has a 46.2% packet loss. Pinging the access point however results in a 0% packet loss. So my theory is that something is going weird with the access point.

The access point is connected to a switch which is connected to the main router. I'm considering it is the cable running between the switch and the main router, as that's a homemade cable that is probably somewhere around five to ten feet in length, maybe longer.

Tiger can connect to the main router fine using an 802.11g PCI card.

Any help would be appreciated as I am very confused as to what to do from here.

I suppose one possibility is a new source of interference on the channel you have been using. You could use something like istumbler (on a modern Mac obviously) to observe the 'air quality' in the 2.4 GHz range.

That's a good idea. I'll try that as well as testing the integrity of all the cabling when I get a chance to troubleshoot the issue more. Thanks! :)
