Mac OS server install help!!

Hello,

I was trying to install max os x server on my macbook pro, i have restore the dmg file in my external HD and went to system preferences and chose my external HD as start up disk. when it booted the screen started to flashes ( the gray start up screen then turn off) anyone know why it's doing this??

Note: I already got two OS on my HD (leopard and snow leopard)

If you have Snow Leopard you have free dev support from Apple. Give them a call. I'm sure they would be glad to help you.

what is the DMG of? an already-installed server? what was it installed on before it was made into a DMG?
