Mac Os Sierra instalación stuck at 0 seconds left on dmg installer

retina macbook 12 2015 base model, downloaded the installer several times can't pass that first step any suggestions?

Where did you get that dmg? If you get Sierra from apple, it won't come as a dmg.

It would be better to get it from apple as other sources may corrupt the installer - or worse, have malicious code inserted into it.

That happened to me, was stuck for about 5 minutes and I went and used the computer thinking it too some time and I don't know if it was me moving the mouse that made it finally work but worth a try if you're still having a problem.
