Hi,

I am having some trouble getting the PHP maintainers to really look in to a PHP bug that only affects Mac OS X. They cannot reproduce it despite the fact that I can 100% of the time. You can see it's report at http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=25394.

The crash effects long PHP scripts. The test case is simply...

PHP:
$x = 1;

... done about 10,000 times, but any script that is about this long will trigger the crasher.

It would be very cool if anyone here who is familiar with PHP could take a few minutes and try this test script on their machine. It will not hoop your system, the page will just not be loaded and an error will be written to the Apache error log.

I really want to know if you can reproduce this crash on your system. So far I can get the beast to bonk out on G3 and G4 iMacs, and an iBook.

Any feedback here is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark.
