I've recently installed in my home computer the Tiger Server. The thing is that i want to host my own website at home. Before installing Mac OS X Server i used apatche and wordpress (to host mainly a blog). The question is, if my new operating system has it's own software to make and host a site and a blog and generally what are the knew things know?
thanks in advance

The.. "knew things know"? Uh, ok. Mac OS X Server, like its client counterpart, uses the built-in Apache webserver, though the Server version is tweaked a bit for OS X (e.g. there's an extension to Apache's user authentication system that interfaces with the users and groups in OS X, among other changes). There is an application, Server Admin, that provides GUI-based configuration of Apache, though an experienced administrator may still prefer to edit the config files manually (which you can still do).

Don't know much about wordpress but if it works on Apache, it should work on OS X Server. I should point out though that Leopard Server will have some sort of blogging software built in.

Installing OS X Server won't give you any other features that will help you in hosting your site. As dimitris18 said it still uses Apache. When you say "New Operating System" what are you replacing? OS X Client? Or did you install this on a "Hackintosh"?

If you are not a power user, I would strongly recommend moving back to Tiger Client (as opposed to Server), as there is really no benefit for you in order to run a website.

Just go to your System Preferences->Sharing, and turn on Web Sharing. Apache will now be active.

As for a blog, just search for a tool to create a blog. There are plenty around (though i don't particularly like blogs so I'm in no position to make a recommendation).
