Sky Broadband are using screenshots of Mac OSX in their email communications to customers.
I have not told them I'm a mac user, and I don't expect they're good enough to tailor their mails anyway.
Is this increased awareness? or are Apple making sure 'product placement' is similar to every film we see these days with a :apple: whenever a copmuter is used?

I also got this email and wondered if it had detected my platform before loading the image. Anyone with Windows receive it?

I see mac laptops used a lot in adverts. But the UK media doesn't cover mac much - the guardian technology section didn't mention the leopard release - but they were all over vista when it came out earlier in the year. Does anyone know the market share Apple have in the UK?
