Mac OSX Update now wont recognize RAR files

I updated my mac now it wont recognize far files. it knows the rar archive but r01 r02 ect no idea what they are. It labels them as document files. anyone else having issue. I use the unarhiver to open my rar's. the mac wont associate the program to the files.

Did you actually try but fail to unrar your segmented archive?

That's normal, because if your RAR-archive has 1597 parts, then The Unarchiver must specify 1597 different file types, which is impossible, AFAIK.

Perhaps RCDefaultApp will be helpful.

The unarchiver does recognize the RAR Archive it also use to recognize the r01 r02 r03 then it stopped. now when I click on a r01 file it doesnt even know what to open the file with. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Unarchiver but no luck. I can for the reconization just dont know why I need to all of a sudden
