Just like the subject says. I have a HP PSC 1210 connected to my PM and my PB can print through it fine over the network. However, I can't get my gf's Dell Laptop to print through it OR share files. She is running XP professional. Any ideas?

OK, checked the firewall, it was all set. I downloaded that program and also followed eDesign's directions. I can get the filesharing to work and I can get the printer to show and and even in the "ready" status on the PC, but when I go to print it goes like normal on the PC end as far as all the windows that come up etc but then it just doesn't print anything out :-(

On the Dell create a user account for the PM and the PB using your account details from each computer. This will help you avoid permission errors.

Make sure that Start Jobs is on else it may not print.

Check for driver updates. Click here

I'm having the same problem.
Everytime I try to print, it goes to the print job but then it gives me this error messege:
"Connetion failed with error
NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED"
then after about a minute :
"Unable to connect to SAMBA host, will try in 60 seconds...ERROR: Connection failed with error"

Create user accounts for them? Like, just have a user named "PM" or something? And what do you mean by using the account details for each computer? Just like the user's name would be "dual 2ghz 160gb 1gb 128mb"? lol, I know that's wrong, but that's the best I can get from what you said. Thanks.

I somehow got it to work on my Mac side but printer just sits there with a blinking light.
When I check the print job on my Mac, it says "Finished".
But when I check the print queue on PC, there's no print job. :(
Do I need to install a Canon printer driver on my Mac in order to be able to print on a networked shared printer on my PC?

Just got off the phone w/ Apple tech support and let me tell you, they are bunch of uneducated people. How did they get a job there? 1st tech had me connecting the printer straight to my iBook just to see if it works directly eventhough it beats the purpose of my intentions to print to a shared network printer, then he got me carry my PowerMac to the printer just to see if that works, and I did that like a stupid S.
Finally he transfer me to I guess a Level2 tech support and this guy got me doing that all over again just to say "Printing to a Windows machine is something we don't support. Your best bet is to call Microsoft or your router manufacturer!"
Not to mention I called the other day to find out why some of my F-keys on my iBook did not work, and he got me reset VRAM, PMU, create another user account, archive and install, ran hardware test and all that for over 2 hours! At the end, they say "Nothing we can do at this point but to take your iBook to Apple retail center"
Later, I found out all you have to do is hold the function button when you use some of those F-keys.
I'm starting to get really frustrated with Apple tech support and thinking about switching back to Windows. :( :( :(
Anyone is looking to buy a Brand NEW 12" iBook?
Paid $1,000 will sell it for $900
