Hello!

Does anyone know of a Windows equivalent of the picture screensaver in Panther (and quite possibly other Mac OS's)?

Before you tell me to buy a Mac, I already have one but I don't like leaving my PowerBook on all night. However, I don't care about my Windows machine. I'd like it to cycle through my pictures folder but the XP version is not even close to being as beautiful as the Mac version (all the nice fades and zooming etc).

I've looked for a windows version that is similar but can't find one, anyone aware of something similar? Most of the windows one's are all crap swipe, blinds, clock type effects, that just look nasty.

Thanks!

While do not know of any windows equivilant, I will agree that the Mac screensavers are really awesome. As lame as it may seem, it was one of the reasons I switched. I was mesmerized by them. I don't know if Windows has the ability to do things with the pictures like a Mac can. I know when there was a Windows version of expose, everyone said it was extremely choppy, and really bad. One poster said it was due to windows not using Quartz Extreme. Could this be the the case with the screensavers?

I don't think you're going to get those pretty fades and Burns' effects. At least windows lets you scroll through the pictures with teh arrow keys...
