Hi I have an old Mac Pro 1,1 x2 2.66xeons and apple 5770ati.

I'm trying to install Windows 10 on this. I also have a PC to use. Is there any way to install Windows 10 without hacking to Yosemite? I tried installing Win10 64bit on a SSD in my PC, then putting the SSD in Mac Pro, but it cannot boot it (32bit efi or ?).

can I buy a 5,1 logic board to "upgrade" it? Do I need any other parts if so?

It won't matter for Windows installation if you're on Lion or Yosemite.

Boot into your Windows PC, and go through these steps in making the Win 10 install DVD for your Mac:

In your Mac leave just drive for Windows installation, remove all other drives (since CSM/Legacy install is touchy in that way and just to be safe with your Mac drives) and boot from the that DVD.

Windows will install and run normally on that like any other PC. It doesn't know or care that its a Mac. As for putting a 5,1 logic board in it.. Thats a full on case mod. If you have the money to buy a 5,1 board, just go buy a used 5,1 off eBay instead.
