Could I ask a question please?, I noticed that there are many versions of this card as in different styles , manufacturers and looks, available for sale on ebay second hand , will they all work in the MacPro 1,1 thanks?.

Hi Waynec. Some Radeon 5770HD may be PC flashed cards made to work in a Mac Pro. The OEM 5770HD looks like This With a PC flash version they also work fine and common practice for Mac Pro owners to use these type of cards Some may not offer a boot screen but this is not a problem.Just make sure the seller is reliable and reputable and offer returns in case you get a defective card.
 
If you're running a late version of Snow Leopard, or Lion/Mountain Lion most PC 5770s will work out of the box. They don't need flashing (although you'll lose the boot screen).

If you Google around, you'll be able to find out what specific models other people have used. I have a Sapphire 1 Gig 5770 in mine, although I can't remember the specific model.
