Mac Pro 1,1 and USB 3.0

Sorry if this has been asked before, but here goes...


I have a Mac Pro 1,1 which is still running like a champ. However, I was wondering if I can add a USB 3.0 PCI card?

Ive tried googling it, but nothing has really come up.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just checked out MacSales, and they have one thats compatible with my mac.

I just ordered the caldigit one with USB 3 and esata.

apparently the NEC drivers (patched lacie as indicated above) work:

however not too sure if they offer VLI (via) support natively, or through a patched kext, etc.

If I can find a method to get the vli chipset working, that would be pure gold.
