Mac Pro 1,1 Boot Camp/El Cap/Windows7

So this didn't seem to get any attention in the 10.11 El Capitan forum, so I'll post it here.

I'm trying to dual boot Windows 7 and El Cap on my 1,1 Mac via Boot Camp.

Why am I getting a "Windows 8 is not supported on this Mac" message when I'm using a freaking OEM Windows 7 DVD. I'm quite confused, wondering if anyone else has ran into this. Have all the supporting software on a USB, so that's good to go. I'm just at the portion when it asks me to partition one of my drives.

Alright, so I've got a partition on my SSD setup, and even when I get into the Boot Menu (holding the option/alt key) I click on the DVD titled "Windows" and get nothing but a question mark folder. My USB's have not worked either.

Alright so none of my Windows 7 (Or windows 8 for lulz) DVD's or USB's have worked. I figured out why Bootcamp doesn't show the "Create bootable USB from ISO" bubble, apparently its because my machine is unsupported, and I had a feeling this was the problem. I've read a few places among the web that the 1,1 doesn't support USB booting, but I know that's silly because that's how I loaded Snow Leopard way back when I first bought the machine.

I'm really quite desperate here. When I load the DVD in, and boot into the Boot Menu via the Alt/Option key, selecting the DVD "Windows" does one of two things. I get the question mark/folder icon, or a black screen that say's "No Boot Media found, insert boot media and press any key"

Any ideas?

another issue I found with the 06 mac pro is the hard drive you put windows on needs to be in the first bay ( front ) to format it NTFS and install it can go any where else after you install

Are you sure your hd is in slot 1 as suggested and you have removed all other drives sometimes windows is funny in a mac pro 1.1

Just look at what did appleguy010 do and what i told him to do. You'll need Windows though for this (oh the irony) but it could be virtualized or on any PC you could find.

P.S. I could upload Windows 7 copy that has all the necessary fixes done to it, but i don't know if it is ok regarding forum rules? It is Win7 without any serial or crack, so you could activate it with your legal key, or use your imagination...

My SSD that I boot OSX off of is located in the second optical bay slot, using on of the optical bay SATA ports. Seems easier just to buy a 3.5 to 2.5" adapter sled (one compatible with the MP) and place said SSD in my first drive bay. I guess I can run RAID on three HDDs rather than one, which was my initial plan.
