Mac Pro 1,1 - Radeon HD 7950 cards

Hi.

I need some help choosing graphic card for MacPro1,1
Which one of these is best choice for flashing and it needs to have ability to connect two DVI LCDs 24" in OS X 10.9+:

Graphics Cards in Mac Pro 1,1

Hi,
Have to admit first off that I've personally not flashed a graphics cards although have noticed other users' successes elsewhere on the MR Forums – FWIW I've had an ATI Radeon 5770 in a MacPro 1,1 (unflashed) running without incident for a number of years and there was a significant speed benefit in almost all of the graphics apps I run. Supports 1920x1200 out of the box – hope this is helpful...!

If having all 4 ports working is important, the only guaranteed ones are reference design. Many later designs lose the HDMI port once flashed.

Also good to find one that has the BIOS switch, it has 2 EEPROM chips so if you do a bad flash you can flip switch and start fresh.

I got now R7950 TWIN FROZR 3GD5/OC.
(dual bios switch)

I can get working only two displays at once:
DVI + MDP (any), or MDP + MDP.

didn't try HDMI, 'cause I don't have any HDMI device.

I can't find BIOS to flash this card.
Do I need to install proper kext too?

Is there any hope for me to get at least three displays in OS X (in Windows is working fine)

Can anyone help me, please?

I'm going to guess that when you say "MDP" you really mean MDP to DVI adapter. Note that is 100% completely different from MDP.

Get a HDMI to DVI adapter for $10, but if I am right about MDP you may be out of luck. DVI is considered "legacy" so a limited number of signals generated for this. If the card only creates 2 you will need to connect one of displays directly by MDP or DP, NO ADAPTERS.

Sorry.. by MDP I ment Mini Display Port to DVI adapter.

For this setup I have three LCDs, two 20" and one 24".
All have VGA and DVI inputs.

I ordered for HDMI to DVI adapter.

Any chance that I could use all those LCDs?
