Mac pro 1,1 SSD install (how hard)

I was reading some place in the 1,1 model you have to do something special to install it. How true is this? I know the drives are 2.5 inches, but you can get an adapter to make it 3.5

I was under the impression all you had to do was put it into a harddrive slot and copy your OS over to the new drive.

is there anything special you have to do in the 1,1?

There are many options, but probably the simplest and chepest is to get an Icy Dock adapter. It's the size of a standard 3.5 drive. You put your 2.5" SSD inside it. slide into an availble hardorve slot and viola!
