I looked around a lot about the issue I'm having, and I don't really know what else to do. I have a dual 2.0ghz Mac Pro 1,1 with 4gb of RAM and the stock nVIDIA graphics card and superdrive. The machine powered on as normal, then I added a hard drive and there was a weird noise (almost like a zap) so I powered down the machine. After that, it would start up but with the blinking question mark folder and it didn't sound like the hard drives were spinning. Now, I get a solid power light and the fans are going at full speed with no chime. I've done the SMC reset and the system reset with no luck. I can't figure out where the issue lies. It seems that it is likely the logic board, but I'm not entirely sure if it is that or the power supply. Thanks in advance for anybody's input, and please forgive me if I have posted incorrectly, I am new around here

Pull off the hard drive you added. If the issue is gone the hard drive is bad.The new hard drive should be empty and properly formatted.
