Mac Pro 2,1 - video doesnt work in slot 1

From some strange reason I can't get works in Mac Pro 2,1 flashed videocard HIS 5770 in slot 1, slot 2 -8x works perfectly.

I want to add 2x-5770 in CROSSFIRE, it's possible?

I got a used 1,1 and there was stock 7300 GT in slot 1, put a Gigabyte 750 Ti 4 GB 1 6-pin to mini-6 pin on slot 1 and nothing, black screen. Put it in slot 2 and it works fine but is 8X instead of the 16X of slot 1....now I think a non-flashed cards won't work in 1,1 or 2,1?? but yours is flashed so there goes that theory..can someone from MacVidCards clear this up??

I think in slot requied EFI (boot screen), but the is only big theory

OP has flashed 5770 card (so it's not limited to Nvidia?) and no-go in slot 1?

What is OP? No, in slot 1 on turn go the start sound, and black screen. power taked from motherboard. I use DVI->VGA adapter, so in slot2 i see boot screen (apple logo) also
