Mac Pro 2 thunderbolt ports share the same bus?

With the price drop and also the situation of who-knows-when the next Mac Pro will come out, I decided to go with a new trashcan with E5 1650 V2 or E5 1680 V2 CPU.

I do Pro -Audio so I don't need a lot of GPU power, I had worries that would the trashcan Dual GPU take too much of the band width of the system?

After reading this article, it seems 2 thunderbolt ports share the same bus, is this true, would it affect my thunderbolt audio interfaces? What's a good way to connect the thunderbolt devices?

The GPUs don't share TB bandwidth, either. I think you're overthinking things.

For any audio interfaces (firewire/usb/tb/pcie) it's the latency not bandwidth that is the worry for anyone doing audio tracking with their DAW.

So if the bandwidth is not fully occupied, bigger bandwidth means smaller latency?

Bandwidth and latency are not really related. Think of bandwidth as the circumference of a pipe while latency is length of a pipe. Generally, even usb 2 will provide enough bandwidth for tracking audio with your daw. The problem with usb 2 is latency because it was not design for audio. You say you have a thunderbolt interface so that's a great start. I would also assume your interface has some sort of dsp chip to reduce latency. If the mac pro does share bus then just make sure to not share other devices with your interface.
