Mac Pro 2

That's a fake concept, right? Because I don't understand how I'm going to plug in any monitors into that.
 
Yeah but it's fun dreaming right, I think if it were scaled back to one GPU without so many thunderbolt ports it would be a winner.
 
Nice concept. Only problem is, even if the graphics cards were somehow connected to the ports in the back, not everyone wanting PCI slots wants only GPUs. For example I've got three PCI cards in my cMP right now and only one is a GPU. Better to make a case with a more standard PCI slot placement, you know, like the cMP, which was the best workstation tower design ever made. I'd rather Apple goes back to something similar, only they can skip the 5.25" and 3.5" drive bays, provide four 2.5" bays for SSDs, and shrink the case down that way. Of course leave plenty of room for RAM, have the option of two CPUs, and make it run as quiet as possible. They can still make a tower that's smaller than the cMP, yet not compromise on anything that matters.

Also, I would gladly sacrifice those Thunderbolt 2 ports for more USB 3.

just need an good looking outer case to hide the DP from video card to TB card cables or just copy HP
 
I remember that a real image of the Mac Pro appeared the day before the unveiling. Everyone hated it and said "no way" would it look like it actually did. LOL
I like this concept.

and spending $20 on a e-net that eats up a full TB-3 pci-e X4 bus. Unless it's 10GB but newer chipsets for servers / workstations will have that built in so apple will be dumb not to e-net on this.

Use a dongle then. If you have 10 TB3 ports versus 6 TB3 + 4 USB3 ports, use a cheap adapter on one of the 10 TB3 ports and you're no worse off. Plus, later you change your mind and go wireless and no longer need the USB ports, you got the extra TB3 ports.
