Hey Guys,

I am new To this forum though I read a lot here before. I currently concearned about my Mac Pro early 2009 with 2x Xeon 5675 CPUs which is not booting anymore since I have changed CPUs from Xeon 2,33 GHz to the 5675s with 3,0Ghz 6 Core. The fron led is flashing constantly fast. CPU trays don’t show the read lights which means I mounted CPUs correctly. I used thermal paste as described and even changed ram panels. I am currently using old 1033MHz ECC ram 4x8GB and ordered already new ones from Samsung as I thought it might be the ram. But I also changed ram slots and tried even using one or two rams only. Nothing worked. The problem is that the rams worked before changing cpus. Is there anything I am missing out? Thanks for you help.

Have you flashed the firmware from the 4,1 to the 5,1 firmware you need the the newer firmware to run newer CPUs
